When you are ready to let go and accept things for the way they are, then you will find freedom so strong from within you that the world opens up to you and shines in a different light. You feel at home and comfortable with your genuine authenticity. This is not the easiest thing, certainly not for me. Understand the difference between pleasure and happiness because the goal is not to get to a destination but to enjoy the entire ride. It took me a while to get here and it’s not the end. I will have to keep on working on it every. damn. day! That aside, for me, that inner peace when unleashed is truly magical.
It’s Friday and time to celebrate, but really why not aim to feel this way everyday? It was pretty early and I went for an exercise so I woke up like this. But who needs makeup, outfits, an angle (or a shower for that matter), when you’re smiling from within? My heart is beaming with light for everyone and I have so much more to give.

Grounding & Spirituality
Start the new month, the new week with grounding! 🌳
Out of all the health & wellness aspects of balance, spirituality has been the last one that I’ve learned to fully acknowledge and embrace. I’ve learned that looking inside, taking it slow sometimes, and to live in the present moment can help you more than anything to recover and rewire. Living in the NOW is the most beautiful gift we can ever give ourselves. I believe that the deeper we root ourselves, the higher we are able to reach for the stars.
After moving excessively year-after-year over the last 5 years, I have craved direly for stability and made sure that our next destination (Netherlands), would be where I would create that. Where I can build and grow instead of constantly starting from scratch and adjusting.
This photo was taken this past weekend outdoors (as usual). The sun came out so I took off my winter jacket and picked this tree for a little mindfulness exercise. I absolutely love this photo! It captures the way I feel right now in one frame. As sturdy as this tree but able to grow and reach multiple things simultaneously while adapting to my surroundings. It feels as if I was embodying the tree so intensely that graphically I became almost one and the same .. coincidentally camouflaged to match the scene with my clothing, my reflection mimicking branches, soaking up the sun, and reaching for the sky. Surprisingly almost identical to the picture I paint in my head while grounding myself during meditation.
Staying grounded has become more important than ever with all the chaos around us, from coping with the busyness of everyday. Take moments to feel and breathe..
Eco-therapy
Remember those stressful and bad days we come across once every while? Fresh air, greenery, sunshine, cold air on your face, hugging a tree, dipping into water, and grounding have natural healing properties. It can be a beach, the mountains, lakes, forests, you name it, stepping outside no matter how annoyed I am, no matter what the weather is can instantly change my mood. It is an easy restart button. Nature invigorates me through light or dark days without fail.
